I bought these boots for dog walking and fell in love with them instantly. They don't just look good. they are amazing to wear. The neoprene lining is sort of temperature-regulating so it is nice and warm when it is chilly in the morning but not toasty in one of those afternoons when the rain stops and the sun is full on. The sole offers a good grip on all surfaces and the removable insole is very comfy. Otherwise, it keeps the water out!Two things that I believe are important for you to know: 1. The name says 'Zip Boots'. Please note, there are no tips on these boots. 2. I struggled to remove my boots and I even considered sending them back. Don't! After a week or so I noticed that doffing started to become easier and easier. The material around the ankles loses its rigidity as you walk and by becoming a bit softer and more flexible, you will be able to remove them easily. If this doesn't work, you can always buy a boot jack.
